My name is Rev. Edna Janice Beaudry and I am proud and honoured to be a funeral celebrant. I believe that all people from a child created inside their mother’s womb who has passed away to the oldest person who has died all have a story to be told. All life is to be celebrated and honoured and the mission of a funeral celebrant is to listen to the family who has lost a loved one, capture their story ( the spirit ) and then assist the family in sharing that story to whoever they feel needs to hear it. I also believe that a family pet is part of a family unit and as they pass on their story also needs to be told.
I was born in the Maritimes and grew up in an orphanage in Saint New Brunswick. I understand loss and inner pain and know that we all need one another to honour each other’s stories in finding closure and inner peace.
