Marc Louis Hamoline
Licensed Funeral Director / Certified Life Celebrant

I was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, on January 5, 1957, and grew up on our family farm in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan. From a young age, I helped with the family farming operation, and my love of muscle cars and hot rods led me to begin working in an auto body shop at the age of 18. I went on to become an Auto Body Repair Technician.

Later in life, changes led me in a new professional direction, and I began a career in emergency services, working in Fire, EMS and Emergency Disaster Organizations throughout Saskatchewan.

In 1999, I moved to Alberta, initially settling in Bow Island before relocating to Calgary in 2000. There, I began another chapter in my career, entering law enforcement as a Community Peace Officer with the Calgary Health Region, later Alberta Health Services. I spent 22 years serving as a Community Peace Officer and Fire Marshal with Alberta Health Services before retiring in the fall of 2021.

Throughout my career, I maintained a strong interest in and compassion for the funeral profession. I eventually decided to pursue that calling, beginning my apprenticeship with Snodgrass Funeral Homes in High River and enrolling in the Funeral Director Program at Mount Royal University in Calgary. I later continued my career as a Licensed Funeral Director with Pierson’s Funeral Service in Calgary. In 2025, I joined Country Hills Crematorium and Funeral Services as a full-time Licensed Funeral Director.

My years of experience in emergency services and funeral service have given me a unique understanding of what individuals and families experience during some of life’s most difficult moments. Wanting to further my ability to comfort, guide and support families following the death of someone they love, I chose to become a Certified Life Celebrant.

As both a Licensed Funeral Director and Certified Life Celebrant, I am committed to helping families create meaningful and memorable services that honour the life, relationships and memories of the person they love.
