I’m a life-long Edmonton area resident. My wife Margarete and I have lived in Strathcona County since 1972. We have 3 adult daughters and 4 adult grandchildren.
My work career in the Edmonton area was always in the people business. I get great personal satisfaction knowing that my work has enabled me to help someone in a way that was needed at the time.
For close to 5 years, from 2011 to 2015 we lived in West Kelowna BC., that is where I first got involved and interested in the funeral industry.
When we moved back to Sherwood Park, I continued to work in the funeral industry for a national company. I was a Funeral Director’s Assistant and a crematorium operator. Due to allergies I had to leave that aspect of the funeral industry, but I soon found that I missed helping the people that were dealing with the death of a loved one.
Being a Life Celebrant is very rewarding personally. I get to help people through one of the most difficult times in our lives, the death of a loved one. I assist them in planning a life celebration that will honour their loved one’s life. We get to cry together, laugh together and together have a beautiful, loving celebration. We share all the stories that stir heart memories.
