I began my career in funeral service in 1981 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. I moved to Edmonton in 1993 and retired in 2023, after a 42-year career as a full-time funeral director/embalmer. During my career, I have helped thousands of families of all denominations and backgrounds plan meaningful goodbyes for their loved ones.
I took the Life Celebrant Certification out of a desire to continue being of service to families, helping to plan meaningful goodbyes. My main focus is secular services, with an emphasis on focusing on the individuality and uniqueness of the life being celebrated. There is no right or wrong way, only your chosen way. Together, let’s plan a celebration of your loved one’s life that reflects who they were, and helps family and friends on their journey of saying goodbye.
