My name is Della Smith. As a native of Hamilton, ON, I have been employed in the health care profession for many years supporting patients and their families in an array of capacities which have included: dentistry, crisis outreach/mental health (emergency service, mobile response as well as various in/out patient units) and Home and Community Care (Hospital, Community Complex Care and Palliative Care); in addition, I have had the honour to serve as a caregiver to aging parents. My experience has afforded me the opportunity to guide and support patients’ and their families through some challenging and very difficult times. The loss of a loved one can be horribly painful and I appreciate that this is a sad time for you and your family.
A Life Celebration is a means of honouring your loved one and I would feel honoured to work with you. Together, we can discuss and prepare a celebration that you feel is meaningful and best represents your loved ones’ “story.”
